If you’re in the mood for fantasy, Eos is offering Sara Douglas‘ “The Serpent Bride” as its free ebook for May/June. I’ve never read any of her books before, though I have heard of her.
Anne Bishop has posted the cover blurb for her upcoming Black Jewels novel “The Shadow Queen” (March 2009). I’m thinking this one sounds promising!
Thanks for the tip for the free e-book^^
The upcoming Anne Bishop book looks really promising. She DOES have to make up for the disappointment Tangled Webs was. I thought the book was not only average but pointless, though I did appreciate having some news about Daemon and Janelle… Would have been better if she had told the little interesting bits in another short story in Dreams made Flesh.
By the way, regarding one of your previous post, I just discovered Stephanie Meyer. I also loved the first Two Twilight Books and I’m currently reading the third one and Bella is REALLY getting on my nerves so I completely understand your feeling. I wish she had something else to do instead of crying, whimpering and crying again and relying on others. Can’t she at least show a little backbone? What the hell!
At least Harry kept his self pitying and whimpering to volume 5 and moved on but Bella! God! You’ve got 3 volumes and all she does is CRY! I wanna shoot myself. After I shoot Bella of course. I’ll still finish it, at least for Edward. Don’t like Jacob, persistent guys are sooooo annoying!!!
I’m also very happy with the blurb from The Shadow Queen. Looking forward to this one.
Oooh, I’m loving the little monster pics - WordPress automatically generates them based on your email address (or name, not sure which) if you don’t have an avatar already uploaded.
Anyway:
La Plume - Yep, completely with you on Eclipse. I still will get the fourth book when it comes out, but probably not in hardcover.
Lesley - It sounds good, doesn’t it? Having said that, I was all excited about Tangled Webs…
Thanks for the info about the ebook. I haven’t read any Sara Douglas yet, but she’s on my list. I’ve downloaded the book so it’s in my TBR list now! Tor is also offering a free ebook each month which I’ve been downloading. I really appreciate publishers offering free books.
I’m looking forward to the new Anne Bishop book also. I hope it’s good!
Jan - Yep, I’m downloading the Tor books as well. I think it’s fantastic that they’re doing the giveaways - it’s a great way to try books you normally wouldn’t read. And I suspect costs are minimal since they’re ebooks.
